Ernestine my friend, not to worry... I think this has happened to many of us at one time or another. I read the first line and then deleted the message.
I received two emails...one from a person wanting me to handle a lot of money from the UK....and another disturbing one. I decided to take my email address off my blog and I quit Facebook. This happened just last week.I've never experienced this before.I guess there are people out there who get some kind of thrill doing this. Balisha
It is more common than you think. Change your email password and contact your email provider. We all hate the losers of the world who find it necessary to invade our lives and privacy. My secondary (blogger)email address was changed by provider and for months I have difficulty getting into that box. Fortunately I do not send out much mail from there so the address book is nil.
Oh, Ernestine, not to worry. I could tell immediately that it was spam. It has happened to me, as well. The internet can be a very vulnerable space but don't let it get to you.
Please do not worry about this. This sort of thing happens frequently. Do not open the link they sent out. It might have a Trojan or virus attached. That is why I usually don't open links. You can't imagine how often this sort of thing happens. NO need to be upset about this. No one would think you would send out lewd mails. The culprits will likely "steal" the email addresses in your address book, so it may happen to everyone who received the email before it is over with.
I just got an email with a link to this blogpost. I hope you sent it. I did not click on it - just came over to read it myself. Please stop worrying about this and let it go. You just joined the crowd of good people who have been cyber attacked by jerks! Spend your time, energy, and emotions on worthwhile things today that deserve attention and not on this kind of trash. Hugs.
oh Ernestine, I'm so sorry this happened to you. I want to thank you for you many visits. Things have been pretty intense in our home lately so I've hardly been visiting in the bloggy neighborhood...it means so much to receive love and support from friends even when I can't reply.

Oh, dear one, don't worry. It happens all the time! This is why I moderate my blog comments because whenever I don't I get rude and lewd comments.
