Afternoon In The Woods

Leaves are starting to fall
a ride through the woods
with blade on high and spinning
blows them off the paths.

Callie runs ahead
not a bird or critter in sight
wonder where they are

Found a handful of dill among
the herbs for
salmon that is cooking
and another dozen small turnips

Thinking I am easy to please....

With that view and salmon, what's not to please? Wonderful.

Kaveri, thank you. I know there is so much more out there in the world - but seems I am at peace at this time of my life - with so little.
But I think that is the way it is suppose to be...

The critters and birds were hiding from the noisy lawn tractor, LOL. Is that you and your mother in the picture?

Judy and Balisha that is my special dear friend who passed away with a brain aneurysm 12 years ago. Picture taken about 13 years ago. I miss her so...
She was 12 years older then me.

It's nice to be easy to please ~ more chances to be happy.

My mother died from a brain aneurysm at 54 years old--such a sudden death--she was so healthy. That was 41 years ago and my sister, who was only 18 at the time, and I miss her everyday!!! Such a lovely picture.

You are easy to please. You love the simple things in life. Natures best in woodland and garden. Good health, a good book, love of family and friends. Life IS good.

Thanks for visiting. We will soon be on the road. Going back to Tampa in a week or two. I imagine we will travel a year or two, then settle somewhere for most of the year, taking only short vacations.

Love the header.

Happy Friday evening. ❤

Sharon, thank you, Judy, that is a sad way to leave us. Sandra, thank you for your kind words.
Enjoy this time that is opening up.
As you share - I will be traveling with you...
