Another Early Morning

The image received from a friend this morning, she is the one who brings me fresh eggs every week.

Lana, thank you, memories surface of over  40 years ago when a new life began and I raised
every kind of animal, even bottle-fed baby calves.  It was a new beginning for this one.

I always loved my life that began at that time.

FOOD

Difficult to cook small amounts
did discover something on NYTimes

Meatballs cooked a little differently, so I tried and really tasty

I made 1/2 the recipe and still will be 3 meals.

Ground Beef mixed with soy sauce, crushed ritz crackers, chopped onions, and garlic, make golf ball size and cook in the oven on a greased sheet for just 15 minutes.  I used 1/2 lb of meat and it made 8 of the meatballs.

I cooked rice,
cabbage with vegetables and a  side of asparagus, a tasty meal.

Would also be good instead of rice use egg noodles

Tasty and simple.

Something New and My Callie

The new header image is taken at my daughter Jamie's in the big city of Nashville at her home.

My Callie is the smaller dog, I miss her so and with a walker and balance not good she is at
Jamie's hoping it will help me not have a fall and trip over her.

I love that little dog so much, rescued and taken from the animal shelter 11 years ago

Callie, I love you.

New to this one is Koto Music from Japan.

I play Mozart constantly, I like it but nice to have something different that is relaxing.

Enjoying this, thank you to my son for introducing me to a new kind of music.

Missing him so very much.

Rainy Easter

In my past, I collected all types of stationery and cards.   Enjoyed sending them.   Remembering when I began writing online and sometimes would receive cards online.   I did not think people should do this and then as time went by and I developed arthritis in hands I started sending notes and cards online.

So time changes much and 15 years ago should have not been so quick to criticize.

I always enjoyed this picture by Vermeer.

BOSE

I liked my Bose player
but after 20 years stopped playing and no repair available.

Ordered the following from Amazon, a fraction of the cost of my Bose.

Sound is incredible, as good as a Bose.   Reviews right on target.

All I play is Mozart :), Nature tapes and music to relax this one.
many old CDs's going to GoodWill, they are over 20 years old.
I have always loved music and always on in my homes, now difficult to find peaceful music.
All these beautiful days
now a few days with mornings in the '30s.

Sunny Days

Sunny day and corn planted.
I love it as the plants begin to emerge and grow
but not when it gets high. Then I cannot see my surroundings feel closed in.

This is an image taken in the past of my youngest granddaughters.
brings a smile to my face this early morning

Thankful

Two local churches are bringing meals to homebound seniors.

Just received - Meatloaf, white beans, turnip greens, and cornbread.    My kind of food
and I am thankful.
