Determination

A painful night
calling doctor
there must be something more
that this one can do
without drugs
which I refuse.

The thoughts continually arise
that I am doing all I can do
diet, exercise, rest, a little medical help,
thinking as positive as I can
and I just need to accept and not fight
what is going on in this now
ancient body.
Funny, I never felt ancient in my mind
and still do not
but the body is saying something different
and I do not like it....

Most aging may not feel like I do
and I may be different
but all my life I have been determined
in what I set out to do.

Just read this on Daily Dharma
that is delivered daily
online.

"When the great root of faith
and the great ball of faith
are present
great determination will arise

Great determination is a strong resolve
that wells up from the
bottom of our gut
and spurs us on"

Koun Yamada

So this one
continues on with determination
and I may win for a while
and may not.

Be so happy when Spring arrives
and I can feel
the warm sun on this body...

Dear Ernestine ~ You are doing all the right things, and I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to take medicines, which cause all kinds of side effects.

It does feel good when the warm sun caresses our bodies.

I can see you not wanting to take steroids, but would you object to an anti-inflammatory for your pain? At least to take at night so you can rest? Because I am now on a blood thinner, I can't take any anti-inflammatory's, like Advil or Aleve, but I can take Extra Strength Tylenol and I take one in the morning and one at bedtime. I sure hope you start feeling better as the weather warms.

Judy, I take Celebrex morning and night, helps some, not total releif, it is a none steroid.
also have been given Tylenol with with codine and have not taken as do not want my stomach upset - also have hydrocodon (given last summer) and do not take because it almost
knocks me out.... much spelled wrong.

Hello One woman! You are doing so well taking care of you!
Arthritis gives me fits. I take prescription Tramadol HCL 50 mg. I'm told this is not narcotic, however it is controlled as such. It help me, I only take as needed. No also alternate "Active On" rub on for arthritis, it is a BIG help, And Aspercream.
Hope you find the extra relief you need,
Saying a prayer.
