It does "seem like yesterday." I've been working on writing a memoir of my childhood--the 1970s and 1980s for me--and every time I ask my parents a question about something or mention a memory to them, we all do the math and then ask, "How can that have been that long ago?!??" It is sad--and something of wonder--how fast it all goes.
The pillars and Ginger Bread trim on your porch is EXACTLY like what is on our ancestral home, where my baby sister now lives. Beautiful photos. The years have flown and the older we get, the faster they fly.

But the memories and the love. . .! ♥♥♥
Time passes, love remains.
