Chilly

A chilly day
even turned the heat on
for about an hour.
A slow walk through the
garden to view a few new
arrivals....

What lovely blooms and how nice to still have 'chilly' weather.

It is starting to feel like the beginnings of summer here.

very pretty irises. we are a long way from blooms here. we don't even have a bloom stem showing! our giant sequoia has grown so much taller that i am not sure the irises are going to get enough sunshine for good blooming this year. it was already 40+ feet tall but it has grown so much more this past year that it seems to be shading the courtyard bank where many of the irises are located. hoping.....

Beautiful spring color. I think I see a few iris leaves poking their way through the dirt here. Tulip leaves are waving in the breeze but no buds yet. It's only April but feels like summer this week.

We've had cooler weather too, and built up the fire in the wood furnace. You have such a beautiful selection of colors in your iris blooms. My irises are at their peak right now; the rains damaged them a little.

So glad you are back. Hope today is going well for you.
My iris are blooming too...I'll have to take a picture later today. I only have one clump, but that is increasing each year. I love these delicate flowers. They look like tissue paper and smell like Heaven.

On this side of the pond we seem slower, my irises are up but not flowering yet, although my garden is currently full of tulips (some horizontal today after a storm last night. Rambling again! What I wanted to say was "lovely colours, a joy to see". Thank you.

Your iris are so lovely, and they will flourish with the weather being a bit cooler. I've always loved their distinct, if not faint, scent.
Hope you are feeling better. Happy you could have the nice walk to enjoy your blooms.
