Pause

Think on this

Pause a moment before acting or reacting
many times
would make a big difference..

The Ajahn said

"Feel a space between one thought and another
we think past and future
we feel present moment"

shared by one who was present
for a Dharma talk
far over the ocean....

On a lighter note
I saw the really big Woodpecker
yesterday evening.
on a big tree close to bird feeders.
He appeared a year ago also.
Wonder what visiting in
February means :)

Pause--and think before making decisions would have helped me in my earlier years. Now--I pause for a day or so before making big decisions and a few hours before making small ones.

Seems like good advice to me. Hope the woodpecker hasn't come too soon!

Judy, Charlotte and Beverly,
thanks for visiting.
Wish you all were near and could sit and have a cup of tea with me :)

The pause between the inhale and the exhale - a most important space.

The wisest word I have heard today, and I will carry it forward with me tomorrow....need it at work, and in my everyday.

I just loved this! Thank you. I'm guessing your son told you.
Is it the pileated? Once in a while, one will show up out back on the old crabapple tree. Such a treat.

Marcia, thank you.
Nan, yes - that is the wood pecker's name and yes - from my son in Thailand.
Have a good day....
