She Wonders

Her car has not pulled out of the gravel drive for 5 days. She is perfectly content and lately wonders about herself? Wish I had more of a gift of words to write and share the depth of what she senses deep in her Spirit.

She truly thought that by the time these last chapters of life had arrived that she would not still have such a passion for growing spiritually. She now is aware that it will never end in this lifetime!

She is truly thankful for friends she has met world wide through her journal. So many are on the same path. There is encouragement among them. Throughout her journey on this earth - this has rarely happened. She always felt different and has the thought that many people also viewed her as being different. She smiles to herself - because it no longer is important.

There is a car pulling down the drive and she recognizes it as the mail carrier.

Three books just arrived:

Wherever You Go There You Are by Jon Kabot - Zinn
Happiness by Thich Nhat Hanh
10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace by Dr. Wayne Dyer

She will add them to the stack by her leather chair. She does not read like a normal person - but then what is normal.

There are 3 or 4 books that each have a bookmark sticking out of them. She is very aware she will start scanning these books - after lunch.

Solitude is the sense of being often alone, is essential to any depth of meditation or of character; and solitude in the presence of natural beauty and grandeur is the cradle of thought and inspirations which are not only good for the individual, but which society could well do without.

I wish you joy in your solitude. I have found a beautiful community of kindred spirits online, through blogging and previously through email groups. I have really appreciated being able to read your thoughts as you continue you journey and am so glad you decided to express yourself in this way.

I love my online friends and appreciate their friendship. I find in my older years that so many things are not important to me anymore. I have certainly mellowed. I have not been out for days and it is not bothering me either. My daughter keeps asking me if I am going crazy shut up in the house. I have enjoyed it, too.

There are times when I am very glad that I do not have to leave my house for several days, but a week is my limit, I think!

Just be sure to turn over the engine on your car at least once a week and run it for a short trip so that the cold weather does not deplete the battery.

Solitude is the reward for living as long as we do. And being able to touch each other virtually makes it all more perfect, I think.

I cannot wait to be able to stay home for days on end if I want to....but, then I do not want to rush through my life.... I am so glad you are my friend....
