First Snow at Woodhaven

One Woman experiences her first winter and first snow at Woodhaven.
I am enjoying January and the opportunity to slow down. I meditate early and through the day my mind dreams, sorts and reflects on my plans for a simple garden. I must remember that I have a lot of shade and areas of dampness.
I continue to plan in my mind where I will plant some evergreens and flowering bushes. I place them as I daily drive down the gravel road to pick up my mail.
This time will soon be a memory and the busy time will begin.
I need to relax and enjoy this time of resting the body. With all my planning it is not easy to relax the mind. This is where mindfulness and meditation is necessary for this One Woman.

I hope your snow doesn't come our way. It is lovely here now and I want it to stay that way.

What a first sweet snow. You don;t get much do you? May your meditation and mindfulness practice continue to bring ease to your days....

Darlene and Val, thank you for checking in. Jan, I would be a basket case without "our practice".
All is well - just feel closed in with icy road and temperature almost zero.

May I add a deep meditative sigh and say aahh....
If we follow the earth and spend some time in quiet and rest we will certainly be ready to stir ourselves as spring beckens us back out to join the creative urge to cultivate our corner of the world.

Cloudhands, thank you. Your words are always so "eloquent". So sorry about "Miss Maudie". My heart goes out to Aisling!!
