Evening Sunset

Fall is in the air.

Suppose to be in the 40's tonight.

Just captured this sunset picture.

It has been a perfect sunny day. I have never had a deck before and I love the deck on this home. It stays so warm since the sun shines on it most of the day. The view of the woods is breathtaking. Needless to say - My deck makes me smile.

One Woman has experienced one season in the country. She has been in her country home since second week of June.

Now she will see what Fall is like. Then Winter followed by Spring. Wonder what each season will teach her.

"I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air"

Nathaniel Hawthorne

Hi Ernestine, Like you I am savoring these beautiful days we have left before winter. It has rained here for a week and finally cleared up and our sun is shining, too. Your sunset is lovely. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I hope to get my yard mowed tomorrow. It is in the 40s here tonight, also.

I am trying to spend more time outside, but my house has needed a thorough cleaning after the trip and I have missed some of this prescious weather.

So beautiful, Ernestine. I am so happy you are enjoying your new home so much, and you still have the thrill of other seasons to experience there for the first time.
Beautiful words, too.
Thank you!

Such a beautiful sunset photo and now the approching Autumn for you to enjoy, how simply wonderful for you,the changing seasons and living in the forest will be. Even here in the UK on chilly days, it is nice to sit on the deck outside. In the cooler weather it can still be enjoyed late in the season with a warm blanket and even - dare I say - a hot water bottle. The Winters can be cold here in the East Midlands of the UK,so I cling on to every last ray of sun for as long as I can.
Stay well.
