Yesterday....
Loading my truck for errands
going to town to pick up some fence post.
Surveyor returning so I can clearly mark
one property line.
This was surveyed when I sold the old farm house
For years it did not matter about this line.
Now that I have returned home and
time is flying by so quickly it now seems
important to me to know exactly
where the line is.
Also some draining of water that I
do not like and gravel will be delivered soon.
In Spring will seed heavily and surely
this will help. May need another culvert.
Another thought it may be a perfect
place for a small pond - but do I want a
pond in that area.
There is one by the old farm house and one more created
by another home built on this property. They are
picturesque - so many projects that I did not plan to do.
Will wait until my son returns and see
what he thinks of this idea.
As I was loading truck
I looked at the sky
What joy the view of a rainbow
gives me.
I felt it was a gift from God
that all is well.....

Stunning beauty just outside your door! You are keeping so busy it seems.
Tabor, I hoped for a good shot.
the rainbow was breathtaking.
Was pleased when I downloaded.
Thank you for visiting.
Yes, I am doing everything I said I would not do :)
What a beautiful rainbow and I see a hint of a second one also.
There is always something to do when you own your own property. You will feel better knowing exactly where your property line is.
Enjoy this time of year.

beautiful shot and such a picturesque pastoral scene. hope you are enjoying your fall. thanksgiving is just around the corner, and it doesn't seem possible 2011 is gone!
FL and Sky, thanks for visiting.
Pouring down rain in the woods.
I see that second one--a double rainbow my mother used to say, was a double blessing from God--His sign that all was well.
I see the double bow, too. The turning leaves look splendid silhouetted against the sky.
Excellent capture of the scene with your camera. A perfect autumn vista.
Judy and Elsie, thanks for visiting. Janell, thanks for writing me...

How beautiful! Seems like a blessing and kiss from the universe!
You have done what I have not been able to do ~ capture a rainbow to enjoy many times over. What a beautiful sight....
I love your poem that talks so much of practical things until the rainbow shines and takes your breath away with its wonder.
