Now A Memory

One daughter arrived safely home from California. Another daughter spent the day with mom. A day spent enjoying the country side. Visit to a small town that seems to be turning into a ghost town. Most little stores are closing. A visit to a local vineyard where some local peach wine was purchased. A delightful lunch in her nearby small town and the day came to an end.

The simple things spent with those we love are the best. And we enjoy them now because we are not trying to squeeze them into short moments between deadlines and duties.

Tabor, you are so right. Was a beautiful day. Driving around the nearby country side and then lunch. What a contrast in the pictures. Flowers on the terrace, in full sun and that I water daily looking great. My new garden, dry as the desert and a few struggling to still not give up to approachinhg winter. As ever - thank you for visiting.

Judy, it was a special day with one of my daughter's. Everyone is so busy. You probably are aware of that in your family also. Have a pain-free night :)

I hate to see small towns going under and small local stores closing. Sounds like a fun day. Great picture of you, too. Have a good week.

What a great day and beautiful daughters. The peach wine sounds like a nice treat. Have never tried it....perhaps we will find some along the way to Canada along the Niagara peninsula....lots of orchards and vineyards there.
Too bad you didn't get some of the rain.

I saw your comment in Times goes by. It is true that so many little towns are getting to be so deserted. We see it when we drive through rural Georgia. It is so sad. People in them must feel lonely. Although it is said that loneliness brings wisdom? “Wisdom is the fruit of solitude. Solitude is recharging.” (Jotika)
