Nice

Project at my cottage by the woods
this morning
reminded me
of a family business I helped create and was actively
involved in for 20 years.

Really like the almost finished project
but
vehicle pad
a little bigger then I wanted.

I won't be stepping off of the concrete
but just do not want a delivery person
to pull up on my sparkling new concrete.

Finished in the morning
and going to have a couple of large
concrete pots that I have had for year
put on two of the corners...

Workers son helped me cut grass
as it was so high and was not going to cut
until the weekend.

No longer cutting on the country road
or up the drive
just around my dwelling
and I like it...

Time for a very late lunch
and Callie does not like
being secured on screen porch :)

New construction is always so exciting! I may get my drain problems fixed this week; it's been a long wait!

Callie would love to leave her footprint in the concrete!

This is going to be just perfect for you. I would think that it will lessen the tracking in too. I'm thinking that maybe you had to trim the grass and weeds from around the stepping stones...so no more of that. Enjoy!

Most definitely just mow around your house. Let the wildness come back to the road and driveway--or you could also plant a few packets of wildflowers in that area and let them be free and wild!! This is going to be so nice for you!! Put your name and Callie's and the date, while cement is wet. Your handprint and Callie's paw print!!

Charlotte, Balisha and Judy, thank you.
Felt sorry for Callie all day.
But then sure not like dogs in a kennel and cage.
Oh Judy
forgot to do this.
In the back put the date and
One Woman in the concrete :)

Balisha, forgot to mention
I did not think of the tracking in and this will sure help.

This looks like a very nice solution to a problem. Exciting and exhausting. Looking forward to the final photos.

This is going to be GREAT! I like the idea of using your two concrete pots too. Dear Hubby and I always signed and dated our concrete projects too. I can look around and see our initials and dates all over the place. :-) It is amazing how long ago some projects are.

Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing your new walk and parking area.

Tabor and Lorraine, thanks for visiting. It is suppose to rain tomorrow and fortunate to have grass seed on hand to sprinkle at the edge of this product. Hope it grows quickly so I will not have mud that Callie would track everywhere :) Could buy a bale of straw but after car repaired today and other errands do not feel like making another trip to town...
