Health Update

I drove to the doctor this morning. First time I have driven my car in two weeks and first time to be out of pajamas in 10 days.
Seems all is healing. Blood pressure elevated and was given an antibiotic for bladder infection. Blood work and other test will be shared on Monday.
I am healing but just going to take longer then "One Woman" likes.
So the sun is shining and I sat outside and forced down a peanut butter sandwich and some strawberry's and cake.
My youngest daughter went to the grocery for me. Thank you my Jamie.
Now appetite return.
I still do not know how I could have so much infection in my body and did not know it.
Dr. Crystal Clamp, my young female doctor (since my doctor of 40 years retired) is a jewel.
She predicts that once I totally heal I will feel better then in a long time. Hey, I did not know I was sick. Guess it masked itself as low energy. I thought it was an aging factor. She said "no".
Anyway, I am thankful I am healing and have so much to be thankful for.
All of my blogging friends I thank you with a sincere heart for staying in touch. I am at loss for words to share what you mean to me.

You will heal, Ernestine. It takes elders longer to bounce back so please be patient and use this time to read all those good books you wanted to peruse.

I understand how you feel because I want to start emptying my closets of clothes I can no longer wear, wash my windows and start on Spring cleaning. But I know if I do I will set myself back so I have to find other things to occupy me. I sort papers and organize my file system and do other physically easy jobs.

Since you have always been so active I know it must be harder for you, but do what your doctor says and you will soon be okay.

I just wanted to share the same sentiments as Darlene. All the best and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Take dear care.

Darlene, Lilalia and Tabor, thank you.
You are right. I have just been curled up on the sofa when not trying to force something down to eat. I have not been able to read as of yet. So all the books just sit here. Maybe this weekend. Tomorrow my 3 year old visits for several hours and she always sings to me. I know that will be healing. An antibiotic is draining so will be glad when I have no foreign substance in my body!!!

Hi Ernestine! Finally, I am back online and catching up with all my friends. I am so sorry to hear about your health situation and what you had to go through but so glad to hear that you are doing better and have your appetite back. I know you had a big scare! I had my gallbladder out the same way you did and was so sore for a week I could barely move. If I got down, I could not get up and if I got up I could not get back down. Sounds like you are doing great to me. If you did not know you were sick, just think how wonderful you are going to feel totally recuperated. My thoughts are with you and thank you so much for your concern and support during this crazy storm we had. It has been a long 11 days but am so thankful all is about back to normal. I still have to remove some trees and that is it!

I've been reading about your health situation, and am very glad to hear now that things are well on the way to normalcy.

Just reading into the mood of your posts over the last few, it seems to me that you feel much more cheerful, and optimistic now, and thats a guaranteed sign that all systems are on the mend. I hope the weather in your part of the US is OK, not not anything like where Judy is..... Take care..

I think we women are so used to minimizing our discomforts that we don't even realize when we are ill. I'm glad to know you're on the mend!

Glad to hear you are on the mend. Scary how something like that can creep up on you, I mean, at this time of year who isn't low energy?

Have a great convalescence, enjoy being lazy, you have a good excuse!

I'm just getting caught up on my blog reading - so sorry to hear of your traumatic experience, but am pleased your physical self is on the mend, your emotional self has found gratitude and your spiritual self a positive, sunny place to stand and observe.

There are good friendships to be found in the blog world, n'est pas?

..so glad to hear that you are on the mend...Leo Tolstoy once said: "The strongest warriors are these two...time and patience."

Wishing you both of these as you heal...

Hi Ernestine, I did not hear/read about your hospitalization until a couple of days ago via e-mail. Life was too busy this past 2 weeks for me I hardly had time to visit my friends blogs. I pray and meant to e-mail you but didn't get a chance to e-mail. No that I had a little time to blog visit, I am glad to read that you are better.
