Too busy, so much to do, so much to learn and I am trying to pace myself.
New computer becoming easier in some ways and still trying to find a way to post images
and not to successful at the moment. Was told that Picasso would be the best way.
I am not familiar with Picasso, trying to learn and their may be an easier way for me..
at the moment I am on old computer and did not realize it was so slow but easier for me in some ways.
Just now downloaded images and this entry to old computer and writing and now this keyboard feels unfamiliar :)
I cannot put Kodax on my new computer as they have closed down but can still use on old computer.
So I will just continue on.
Cortisone shots yesterday morning at 9:00 - oh my total relief in shoulder and neck area
did not even take a Celebrex last night and oh wonderful sleep. When you are in pain
and cannot sleep it sure affects you in many ways. So now will see how long this will last.
Only 3 over the last year, it was my first injection in both shoulders and this the third time. First last September and it was a miracle lasting for
for almost 5 months, the last one did not last very long.
I was given some more information from this wonderful young woman - I am on the lowest
dose of this injection and of the little I take - probably too cautious I am told - but have always gone the natural healing way
and now entering the 80's may eventually need more and told to do it and not suffer.
I battle with the balance problem and doing all I know but with arthritis which will not go away
and stupid me has thought if I do all the right things it would - not so. I am much more comfortable with this in my surroundings, guess because it is all familar where when I venture out it is not.
But then so thankful - this is all new for the past 3 years...and so many poor souls have it
so much earlier in their life.
So complimentary this one was and marveled I go continually from 5:00 AM to a little after 1:00 PM
nonstop and then I just about shut down. Yes a busy schedule doing all necessary and what I love doing.
Weight working on as I eat good, not a lot and probably busyness keeps me from gaining weight.
So maybe Ensure with ice cream several times a day - 500 calories and sometimes a snack during the day and
during the night - since early to bed and early to rise I hope all of this will help add a few lbs :)
My special friend who arrives on Wednesday morning
brought me these flowers - sad my Cosmos hardly bloomed this year and she gave me the plants.
Scrambled egg with spinach, small piece of ham, toast with local orchard peach preserves,
green tee with slice of orange---ready for the day
and computers I am turning you off...been on way too long.

I guess learning new technology is good for our brains - but sometimes very frustrating, too! I hope this last dose of Cortisone gives you relief for a long time. My own appetite is diminished, and I feel better if I eat less. However, I think in terms of nutrition so don't consume a lot of empty calories.
So sorry about your arthritis in spite of all your efforts to combat it's onslaught :(
That's a solid 8 hours you are active, quite a lot!! Pat on the back.
I absolutely love the garden face, I laughed when I saw it.

There is no cure for arthritis, no matter what. We can only try to manage the pain. I now have a huge knot on the first knuckle of my left index finger and it aches all day. I can't take the anti-inflammatories anymore because I am on a blood thinner. So--I just hurt and keep going. I am so grateful that my hip replacements "cured" the arthritis there, because I was at the point where I could barely walk. I don't expect arthritis to ever come back in those Titanium joints. LOL
I had the series of Cortisone injections for my back. The first one worked well and lasted almost 9 months. The next one, lasted for about 2 months and the third and last one, lasted a matter of hours. They sedated me for them, so I had to have someone drive me there and home.
My primary care doc has said he can give me one in my shoulder, but I think they hurt way too much for me to consider--at this time anyway.
Ever forward!!!
Judy, after reading your comment I am even more grateful. No replacements for this one, no pills except Celebrex and is not a steroid and have not taken one since shot :) I drove to doctor for shots, and they are a little paiful but went on the grocery,
gas in car and one more stop, and felt great = total pain relief
So we are all different..Have no knots on my hands but do have on each shoulder :)
Just thought I would share. So balance my main issue now but really if I try to move slower, not do so much (my lifetime habit) it is a little better.
My son constantly telling me "pace yourself and go slower" lifetime habits are difficult to stop - but trying and I am making progress.
Thankful up at the moment for healthy drink "Good Belly." I love life, family, my lifestyle, thankful I am pain free since Monday and just going forward.....thank you for your sharing.
WWW, I know my lifestyle different from most - but love the morning and always have.
You take care of you :)
Barb, I have never ate a lot, eat healthy but weight stayed stable. Always eat healthy but the 5 lbs lost I would like back - do not like the 107 lbs at the moment
I am different where most are trying to lose weight :) Difficult for me to sit
still and do better when someone visits and family is here.
Thanks for stopping in and sharing. I love where you live and some of my children
visit that beautiful state.
You are far more active than I. So glad you can have the peace of being pain free and hope it lasts for months and months!! Our bodies hold up as long as they can. I have a friend who is in her 80's who just sold her house and moved to a much smaller place in a retirement community. She said the hardest part now is getting up in the middle of the night and feeling for a light switch on the the wrong wall. I want to be just like her.
May you continue to feel the relief of no pain for a long time! Hope the frustration of learning the new computer lessens as you learn more, step by step... Happy Thursday to you. :-)
Pienosole, thank you..
Tabor, I never want to leave this small home by the woods - but need some outside help and occasional inside and I am looking for it.
I thought of a retirement community but so far do not want. This is the most
peaceful place on the planet if I now have a little help.
Thank you always for your comments :)
Hi Ernestine, Such pretty images you've posted.Love the array of pumpkins in the autumn sunlight, and your inviting table setting with the cosmos. Wishing you pain-free days and restful sleep. And, good luck with the new computer. always a process, learning the new ways of technology.
Hi Ernestine, You asked about my camera. I've had this one for about a year and love it because it's very lightweight. I can take it hiking which I couldn't do anymore with the heavier DSLR. It's an Olympus omd-1 micro 4/3 camera. I have 3 lenses but use the 14-150 mm zoom the most. I also use the camera on my iPhone 6s.
Barb, thank you, looked it up and may be too complicated for this one.
Still deciding, my old camera fine but wanted more zoom...
