Sunday Begins With a Slower Pace...

Early Saturday morning made my upside down cake, so easy, put more on it this time
chopped apples, raisins, walnuts and cranberries.  The first time ever almost dropped the cake
as I was flipping it over, heavy iron skillet and guess I am not as strong :)    Did not drop it
but it slid to the side, that's alright but for a moment thought was it going to land on the floor:)
So good for several days with hot tea,
coffee or milk.
After breakfast
drove to town to have my much loved old truck serviced and now it is ready for Winter.
Window on drivers side is leaking and need to find someone to replace the seal around the window.

Early morning sun streaming through my laundry room window,
so much beauty outside....
Almost will be glad
if it rains as this Sunday begins and for the rest of the week,
as I need to slow down,
a lot of desk work needs to be attended too,
also thinking of changing insurance plan
and need to read a lot of paperwork
so I do not make a mistake.

Love the morning light in your kitchen window. Morning is my favorite time of day, and in recent years, I've been attracted to sunny kitchens, particularly in the morning. Please listen to the wisdom of your body; seems it's "suggesting" you do slow down a bit in the coming days. Happy Sunday! :-)

Pienosole, as always, thank you for your special words. The spurt of energy was so good for a short time
as a lot accomplished. You have a good day :)

Love your morning light streaming in. I, too, have noticed the light more now that I take the time to see it!! It is truly a 'journey to mindfulness'!

I so enjoy rainy days. I really wouldn't mind if it rained all week here for it has been quite dry. Your cake looks oh-so-delicious...a perfect rainy day snack.

Love the way you have captured the sun's rays in that photo. All I get this time of year, with the lower angle of the sun, is to notice I have not washed my windows in a year or more!! That cake looks delish and I want just a tiny piece, as unlike you, I can put on a pound or two just looking at it. I also find I am dropping things a little more. I lift hand weights so think it is more my coordination failing rather than strength. Or weakness in fingers, perhaps.

Tabor, my windows being washed a long time ago. The iron skillet with the cake
was so heavy and you need to hold with one hand, place chop block on top with other
and flip - was not easy like in the past. Hand weights, I need small ones,
mine 4 or 5 lb now too heavy.
WWW, Mary, cake is gone :)

I like your Header - I see some books there that I've read! The cake looks yum. I like that morning sun shot in your kitchen. I could use a bit of that sunshine right now. Hope you can slow down and do your paperwork this week.
