Thoughts For The Day

It is only when we silence the blaring sounds of our daily existence
that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us,
as it stands knocking on the doorsteps of our hearts.
~K.T. Jong~

Life is a process of becoming, a continuous state that we must go through.
Where people fail is that they wish to elect a state and remain in it.
This is a kind of death.
~Anais Nin~

This day "One Woman"  will remember
she is equal portions of iron heart and frightening vulnerability.
To be kind to myself.
Rest more
Do things that bring joy
and surround myself with positive people.

That second quote is most inspiring and so true. It takes years of leaving to realize that we do this!

Do things.

Bring joy.

Sounds like the makings of a life-giving breath prayer.

I think I'll carry it with me today, as I travel east to help Sis with her latest room makeover project.

Blessings on your day.

Enjoyed this very much. I love words. And I show people what my words have ended up on or in. Prayers are the best kind of words because of the expectations involved.

Not sure you are even aware of some of the things I have done, but if you take the time to go to

http://writing26letters.blogspot.com/

you can see a kind of history in the right sidebar.

I love your idea of doing more for yourself, resting, etc.

The constant blaring noise of a TV makes it so difficult to live a quiet life.

Charlotte, I totally understand.
At one time a full home with mate and 4 children. Now just me.
When they all I visit I love it - but - love my quiet cottage. TV rarely is on. Total quiet here by the woods. At this time of my life my lifestyle is good for me.
Thank you for viiting me...

Fabulous phrasing: iron heart and frightening vulnerability. Oh, Ernestine, I completely, completely, completely relate!
