A very busy past week for One Woman. Busyness had its way with her - both physically and emotionally. Most emotions passed through - from happiness to sadness - thoughts of past and future. This morning she is focused on today with thoughts of thankfulness.
She was pleased with this photo that was taken yesterday.
4 Oak Leaf Hydrangeas were planted along the walk to home in the woods.
With several days of rain - the woods look like a "rain forest". Everything is so lush and beautiful shades of green.
Two of the hydrangea bushes turned out to be something else. She will have to look in her folder of purchases to see if she can identify them.
The bloom is spectacular and is like a gift.

Very beautiful and the picture is perfectly composed! I believe that is an azalea. Do hope you have some lovely hydrangeas to come. Here in Chatham, we are famous for our brilliant blue hydrangeas.

Azalaleas are my favorite flower. I tried growing them here, but it's too hot. That is a beautiful photo of a beautiful flower.
Oh my, how pretty the Azalea is,what a sight that will be when the blooms cover the entire bush. We are enjoying the gift of rain here, we have seeds in the ground and in little pots and untreated water seems so much better for starting plants.

Excellent capture of the azalea. I like is dual coloring. My azaleas are half done. I have some late bloomers getting ready to open. Hubby spent the afternoon digging up ferns from the woods and transplanting them closer to the gate so that we could enjoy them.

Tabor - I have so many ferns in the woods. At the moment "ticks" keep coming to mind. When path is cleared I will venture more into the woods.
beautiful azalea - yours is a very old species. usually azaleas are evergreen, but the deciduous azalea blooms are often more beautiful, i think. these carry more bi-coloration.
