Childhood Fun

This image brought back memories to One Woman this early morning. Mixed memories of childhood, boxes and the man. Boxes were always fun to play with as child. Imagine all the things you can do with a box. I will surely save all the large boxes that my appliances come in when they arrive in the country. My little girl's will have fun creating with them.

My special son in law sent this to me this morning. My youngest granddaughter with her grandfather or "papa" as she calls him.

The image looks like a modern day " Norman Rockwell".

Aren't boxes the universal toy of choice for children. I remember a Refrigerator box we turned into a puppet theater for my daughter and her Girl Scout troop. Such fun.

Awww, what a little sweetie, hiding in that box. I too remember all the fun we had as children playing in boxes. Great memories.

Not having boxes as a child we used to play uner the table, or make a "cave" with a sheet over my mother's clothes horse!

My memory is of my daughter and first grandson who were a month apart. Christmas day they were both shy of being a year old. After they opened all their toys they played with the boxes the gifts came in. Makes you wonder why you spend all that money - just wrap a box. ;-)

I posted a picture of Forrest playing in a box on Christmas Day. Like Gilly I have many memories of playing under the dining room table with all my paper dolls from the Sears-Robuck catalog....

I love this photos!

Oh to be a child again, I wish I can. To not let the worries pull me down but to enjoy life, playing with empty boxes :)

I was looking at the sweet little girl, thinking that it won't be long, before she is grown up. I love the little "modern" girl with the tiny pink cell phone.

Mermaid, Liza and Balisha - thanks for commenting. Oh this little one is so happy. They just left with a cake grandma made for their celebration.
