Sunday Morning Gift

I was not going to write today. See how disciplined I am? I had a special gift this morning spotted in the city garden. A thought came to mind - I have the perfect place for you in the country.

This is fun! Planning where you will move your treasures. Make sure you use some netting and/or caging at first to see if the deer want to eat this new gourmet stuff.

When I lived on this property in the past - I had 3 outside dogs.
They kept all of the deer away. I plan on making a home for 2 when I move permanently. This is a delight to my 6 year old granddaughter who wants to go to the Humane Shelter with me. Someone will need a home.

Lovely lily!

Deer: the bane of all gardeners in the wilds.

I once found an adorable puppy who would grow fine and huge and scare all the deer away. "Guinevere" grew TREMENDOUS in a mere three months but cowered in fear at the mere sound of a distant deer. Though I loved her dearly (yes, she became my dog) she tumbled the children down the hill with her playfulness (a border collie/rottweiller mix -- like a horse herding the tiny kids) and overpowered our entire life.

Sadly I gifted her to a shelter who found her the perfect home with three BIG boys. She's happier than ever, as am I now that I have a sturdy fence around five acres of gardens filled with roses and NO DEER. : D

Happy gardening!

Lovely, lovely lily. How could you possibly leave it. Well, I guess you could, but why would you want to do such a thing. Have a wonderful week in the country.

You are the epitome of discipline, Ernestine. I would bet that you are super conscientious and always do what you promise, even when that promise is just to yourself.

My Mother's Day bouquet of Lilies is fading fast. They were lovely, but none as beautiful as the one you photographed.

Cloudhands, this Lilly has about 20 buds on it. I will take half of it with me. Have a good rest of the day.

My dear Darlene, guess you know me pretty well also. I must be easy to figure out. Fondly, Ernestine

Kenju, thank you. I am off and headed for the country. Did not sleep well as I took something for allergy and it kept me awake all night. Will suffer with allergy rather then stay awake all night.
Have a great day and thank you for checking in with me.
