Rain Continues

Third week of rain continues, not all day, part of day and I know it will stop soon or rather hope so.
What is rest of summer going to be like - an unanswered question.

This was a French toast and coffee
kind of morning.   This afternoon may bake some zuchinni bread, one loaf will go to my Jamie
when I soon visit, one I will eat and the last hopefully makes it to the freezer.
Yesterday afternoon with the soft rain falling it was a perfect time to sit still and read
the New York Times.
Again, I love this paper.....
Could relate to this article, moving and downscaling many times and what is left in
this smaller home has many memories and will stay with me...
As items go to children someday, hopefully these items will be special to them.

Could relate to this article, Let's Celebrate the Art of Clutter, which I read this weekend.

I forgot to mention the other day that, even two Alza Seltzer in a 6 oz. glass of water helps acid reflux. Sun here today, but still very cool. We might make it into the 50's. Farmer's Almanac says it is suppose to be below temps this summer. El Nino~ or something.

I enjoyed the article. SO glad you linked to it. I'm betwixt and between hen it comes to clutter. This helped me feel better about it. (I guess that's a good thing.)

We have our memories and they become linked to our stuff that we collect and that makes it hard to part with any of it. I can so understand.

You will have a great backload of zucchini bread! I see you baked 3 loaves on May 26th. Do you have a large freezer? I do and love to cook and freeze as well. Also really enjoyed the article. Thanks for sharing... Jane

I really don't think "clutter" exists in your immaculate home! What a talent you have for creating beautiful spaces, large and small, even your breakfast table.

Judy, do this, cannot daily and need something for a few weeks daily.
Rebecca, Tabor, AC, :)
lejmom, did not bake like planned the other day, so this is it, medium freezer
in garage and usually eat a loaf, share some with a homebound friend an try and give my girls a loaf - if any left - it goes quickly...
Mary, thank you, guess I like know clutter and seems my desks and kitchen
always so much laying out :) Seems I never stop and wonder at this late stage
of life is it suppose to be that way. Guess I am never bored :) just stay behind.

TOO ALL - Up in the middle of the night, do not proof read and so many
errors I see - forgive me...

what a pretty breakfast table you've set. I, too, read the article in the NYT. It's good to strike a balance between what objects bring us joy and the ones that just occupy space. Looking to downsize, we've been getting rid of stuff---which has felt like a relief.

Nancy, thank you, love a pretty table if only for one :)
Good luck on your downsize that is taking place,
did many times...

I downsized twice, but still downsizing, my dream me is a zen type person with vast expanses of wood floors and one chair and one book and one lamp.

Like that will EVER happen, my vice is (are?) books.

I always think I am not a "stuff person" but have been decluttering and am shocked St how much I can easily discard or donate. I imagine you have been selective in what you have kept, Ernestine.

WWW, I emailed you - you described my dream and the way it was when city home on
the market and I came to the woods a few days a week. Oh I loved it, cardtable,
one chair, easy chair, lamp, bed on just a frame, nothing at the windows
and wood floors. It was Heaven.
Aisling, so true your words, but when I do not dust for a long time - I dream of emptyness :)
