Rejoined Net flex for the next month of not being outside.
Seldom find a movie that holds me spell bound.
My son
said I might like this 2014 movie
The Hundred-Foot Journey.
I loved it, but then I love cook (have always wanted to chop like a chef), scenery from Italy was beautiful (where I always wanted to visit)
and have an aspiring chef in the family - my granddaughter Sarah.
I found it
so wonderful to sit still for 2 hours
which I seldom do :)
Shared with me in the past
and made this morning
with my new Kitchen Aid Mixer
So tasty
but is crumbling
and think next time I will put in 3 of my loaf pans.
Also, I rinsed blueberries and they may have been still damp
when I put in batter at the end - next time will dry them real good.
Blueberry Bread with Lemon Glaze
1/2 cup butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 and 1/2 c flour
1 and 1/2 t. baking powder
1 and 1/2 t salt
1 and 3/4 c blueberries tossed in 1 t. flour and 2 t. sugar - I used 2 cups of blueberries
and add a handful of cranberries
Glaze
2 cups powdered sugar
2 t lemon juice
2 t. heavy cream
1 t. softened butter
Preheat oven to 350. Combine butter, cream cheese, vanilla and sugar, beat until fluffy. Add eggs and flour, baking powder, salt and mix well.
Fold in blueberries. & Cranberries. Bake in well-greased bundt pan or 3 loaf pans
for 40 - 50 minutes. I found 55 to 60 minutes better.
While it cools, combine ingredients for glaze, stir well and drizzle over cake.

How lovely! A blueberry cake with a good movie. So snug for a winter's day!
I'm thinking of trying a black cherry cake out this weekend! Keep warm!
Sandra, your time schedule may be like mine. Usually comments from family later in day :) This was such a tasty cake. Visit again.
Hi again! I just looked at the trailer of your film. It looks good! Another fun film I saw is "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel", filmed in India with really good actors. I'm just cooking my lunch and I guess it's maybe breakfast time with you?!
I liked that movie well enough. It was joyful for the most part.
Happy Day to you :-)!
Oh, that bread looks yummy!
I do so wished I lived closer and that a walk on a cold morning might bring me to your door for tea and cake!
My, almost new, Kitchen Aid mixer sets on a shelf in the pantry and almost seems to be begging to be allowed to mix up something good Maybe your scrumptious-looking blueberry cake would be just the thing. I think you like to cook better than I.
I am delving into my freezer at the moment, so grateful I put things aside for my no-do days :)
I couldn't eat your loaf because of the sugar but well done with the new mixer :)

Thank you for the recipe! I also made note of that movie - perhaps it's something Bob and I would like.
I agree with Tabor ~ I'd love to walk over and have cake with you.
So glad that you put the recipe nice and clear as I definitely want to make the blueberry cakes. I have a big bag of blueberries in the freezer. Your picture made them look so yummy. Tomorrow may be the day that I make this lovely treat.
Tabor and Charlotte, you would be so welcome :)
AC/ Pienosold, Rebecca, WWW, Mary, Barb, Luanne -
thanks to all for visiting :)
Snow - my first snow on the ground this early morning..
The cake looks rich and moist. Yum! I just saw the movie compliments of Netflix, and I liked it, too. I always like Helen Mirren and the scenery was beautiful. The story of giving people a second chance resonated with me....
Cake is so good
and this was my kind of movie :)
