I Wondered

Sun is shining brightly
even though very cold.

I sit in the old chair
to rest a minute
 as the sun streams in
the loft window.
The chair I rocked my babies in.
See my reflection in the window
and wonder
can I take a shot that will capture this.
There is so much more
that this one
would like to know about her camera.

Would like one that has more zoom
so I can capture pictures of the
many birds that visit these woods.

Plants do so well wintering on this loft
Need to come up here
more often as
in all seasons
the view is peaceful.

Look again at this image
of my reflection
and have the thought
"is that you
 my spirit."

My spirit will always
reside in these old woods
that I know...

I am the first! I just fell in love with that photo of you trying to capture yourself. The word "selfie" which is so overused today, does not even come close to the poetry and art that your photo conveys. Hang on to this one as it is a keeper with its spiritual mystery.

I agree with Tabor.

It's just lovely.

And a true photo...not photo shopped.

Capturing yourself. I believe you did.

Oh my friend I want this picture in a frame on my desk! It is beautiful beyond words. Call it spirit, call it reflection, call it essence. Lovely!

Such a delicate reflected self-portrait against the beautiful woods we can see through the window!

A beautiful view from your loft. I think my spirit will stay in my woods, too - it's what I hope. Your photo looks mystical.
