It Is Snowing

Finished last minute shopping at 8:00 this morning.
Cranberry salad made 1/2 recipe last night
taste wonderful.  1/2 recipe just filled my mold and
a couple of tablespoons for me to sample.
Been a lot of years since I made this and forgot how
good it is - healthy too.

Tonight cornbread for dressing being made,
3 gallons of my sweet tea and lately have been
warming it and like it.

Tomorrow will make sour cream pound cake
an old favorite and on Wednesday pumpkin pie
and set the big old table.

Been Snowing for about 30 minutes....

Went back to my post
this is 45 minutes later :)

I have so much to be Thankful for
and my list would be never ending....

You're getting a good head start on Thanksgiving preparations! Good for you! I took the turkey out of the freezer and put it into the frig to begin thawing today. My children want to come on Thanksgiving night which will be easier on me I suppose, but it doesn't seem right.

Hope you have a wonderful day with your family members.

Your tasty things sound delicious. You are making warm sweet tea and I will make mulled cider.
Hope your day is wonderful and full ot happy things.
Hugs, Balisha

I will miss cooking and baking this year, am going out to eat with brother and sister and law and niece.

Your preparations sound wonderful to me and how nice to be doing all of this with it snowing outside.

What is your cranberry salad recipe?

Have a lovely time with your family.

we hired a chef to cater - just could not do the cooking. this tired, inflamed body isn't capable. rough year for me as you know. sounds cozy with the snow and the preparation for holiday celebration. i know you will enjoy seeing more photos and hearing all about her visit in thailand! i am impressed that you have already begun your cooking - i know it will all be delicious! do you ever drink orange spiced tea? i love that, hot or cold.

I do think Woodhaven is the perfect Thanksgiving place no matter how many are at you table. Over the river and through the woods...so lovely. Thanksgiving for me this year is with my daugher and her husband and their friends. No cooking for me except corn pudding. It is 100% unhealthy..... But so good, so we only have it at Thanksgiving. Happy holiday dear friend. I am so glad I know you. I often talk to others about my friend who lives in the woods.

Balisha, Sky, Lorraine, Judy and LR - up in middle of the night
doing what I say not to do :)
Computer and have 22 emails and having milk and cookies. Thanks to each of you for your comments.
I am making less then years in the past, simple but hardy.
Did not plan on doing this year as it has been a not good health year but I have bounced back and running on speed with prednisone
So excited about family arriving
Have made spiced tea and cranberry tea in the past but little granddaughters like my fruit tea and will have that.

I am startng today to work on TG. Only my daughter and her little ones but they are starying over two nights...so have to plan breakfasts and lunches as well! No snow here, but hoping my son and his new wife do not face the icy sleet as they drive north tomorrow.

Lily would be so jealous! Last night she wore her pj's inside out, flushed ice cubes down the toliet, put white crayon in the fridge, and a spoon under her pillow. All this to ensure snow...... We had no snow....go figure!!!!
