It Seems

It seems when I now bake
that I make the biggest mess
in this small kitchen.
Do not remember this in the past.

The moon  was shining as I began to bake

Orange cookies not made in a while
and so good with tea.
A dozen will go to a friend
on my next trip to town.

My little timer that is probably close
to 50 year old quit working.
Another day beginning with some warm temperatures
I may move a few flowers later today
and they will never know they have been moved....

I too make messes--maybe shaky hands? I seem not to be able to cook as well as I used to. Same recipe and yet, it tastes different--maybe dead taste buds? Interesting how things change as we age--not liking it, but interesting.

Orange Cookies, Yippee!

Wishing you a splendid day.

I make messes, but it is intentional so that I can focus on the cooking. I do clean up as I go along, but do not worry about the big messes. I got expensive new cookies sheets for Christmas and still have not used them!

You've got me in the mood to bake cookies. I need to use up the rest of the mincemeat for cookies.

Just had a bowl of my homemade chili, made a lime jello salad

Since I only cook for two, it seems my cooking skills are not what they used to be. And I agree about the mess, especially when I can or freeze vegetables, with so many pots and pans to wash.

So sorry about your timer. They just don’t make things like they used to. The new timers are pricey and I’ve gone through three since I replaced my old one. Don’t worry about the mess. I clean as I go too and still end up with a sink full of dishes. There is something magical about sinking your hands in to a sudsy dishpan of water.

Best timers are at dollar stores and I have an old bicycle one on my office window to remind me of...things.

Orange cookies. Please teleport to me. Stat.
