All Is Well

Dear online friends, just a note to give you update information.
A trip to the country this morning after a dentist appointment to view finished railing around loft area, stairs, some kitchen appliances and light fixtures.
It rained all night - mud has returned - but grass is coming up and landscape items and flowers moved from city are all doing well.
In the next week the inside will be cleaned, floors stained, frig, stove, washer and dryer will be delivered.
I have a helper coming next week to move a few garden items. A large concrete pot, concrete garden bench, garage items, large trellis and some other landscape items.
Week after next the men from the local fire hall ( move people on the side ) will rent a uhaul and remove about 1/3 out of this home.
Everything will still look fine in the city for viewers and I will have enough in the country to be comfortable for the days and nights I stay.
Also each time I go to the country I will begin to take some of my kitchen items, linens and some clothes. Maybe this is a good way to move as it will not be all at once.
My driveway needs a number of truckloads of gravel, contractor will continue to finish deck and screen porch and I will continue to invent a small garden area.
S0 all is well but I am very tired.
If I come to mind - tell the Good Lord to send this buyer quickly. The final move will come at the right time - of this I am sure.
Thank you for your thoughts and encouragement on One Woman sharing her late in life adventure.
Interesting that no matter how many times I have built and really do some indepth planning - there is always something I would do differently.
Fondly
One Woman

It can NEVER be perfect and if it was you would feel strange. I think dragging out this move is the perfect way to start. It will force you to move slowly and give you time to adjust. If the house does not sell soon can you consider renting?

Tabor, thank you. Renting is not an option. Not for the quality of this home. All is well and all will fall in place. A number of thoughts I have and have not shared. In time I will share how One Woman "thinks". You are right about the way this is being spaced.
It will be better for me. My previous home sold in 2 weeks.
A blessing in some ways but also a lot of pressure.

I am seeing you on a porch at your new house, you have a cup in your hand and your family is all around you. They begin to walk into the yard to explore and you smile and turn and go into your house. Everyone looks happy and I feel deep gratitude and know that all worked to the good of everyone involved with your move. This is the vision I hold for you and have for some time now. Continued good wishes.

I will pray for your buyer to come at the right time.

Do hope you find someone perfect to buy your place. It always feels better when you know that someone will continue to love the walls you lived in. Glad to hear all is well.

Your head must be swimming with all the thoughts and decisions to be made for your new home. I would think that the rain would help establish your new plantings....without watering. This has been such a fun thing to follow. So glad you are sharing.

My sweet friend,

Another bend in the road of this glorious journey . . . God sees around the bend and knows it is good. I have always done an "instant" move (which requires a month of planning). I think your gentler way of moving seems more appealing. Kind of like planting out a garden a bit at a time rather than hiring a crew to dig and plop all at once. I hope you are enjoying the changing tide as it washes from one home to another. There are always treasures to be found in the surf when we slow the pace and really see where our feet carry us.

My last move was abrupt and swift and heart-wrenching. As a child we moved often, and so I abhor it (maybe even fear it) and thus grapple boxes and marker with a vengeance and try to wrestle the event to the ground. I am seeing in you a different way to segue into a new path. Thank you for sharing . . . that I may grow.

I look forward to many, many more pics and posts as you settle in, sink new roots, share memories of days gone by. With no older woman in my life at this stage in my life, I seek your wisdom and the open doorway to your heart. I appreciate tagging along on the journey. Many thanks.

XO ~~ Debbie

Oh my, what would I do without my special online encouragers.
You will never know how much your words mean to me. Especially today with a meltdown.
Cloudhands, thank you for your vision. Kenju, Lilalia, Balisha - thank you.
Dear Debbie, your words are just what I need to hear tonight.
God is so good for sending you as a messenger and you have a gift of words.
