Blueberry bread with an addition of cranberries - cooling
Two orchid plants full of buds :)
At this time
I do very little decorating but table looks festive...
Thanksgiving time with part of family (rest were missed) was a good time. My granddaughter
the chef brought a friend another chef from this upscale Nashville restaurant and I did a little more
could not serve them on paper plates and cups. Wish I had taken an image of the way Sarah carved
the turkey as it looked so nice on the plate - a little different then the way it is usually done
I needed another large platter for my dinner and then I spied it sitting on the shelf where I have
placed it for 20 years "my great grandmother's large platter which I have treated like royalty
and not anymore - My great grandmother used it for Sunday dinners, my grandmother used it
and my mother used it and now I am going to use it.....
My girls cleaned the kitchen, but next day I continued onward putting up a lot and washing
tablecloths and napkins.
It has rained for 3 days and kind of nice because there was finally time to rest. Dread soon dental
appointment which was not planned but then most of them are not planned.

Your bread sounds and looks delicious!
Glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Hope all goes well at the 'dreaded' dentist.

I'm glad you're using the platter; why do we keep things for others to use, when they might not have the same connection or appreciation for them. I'm beginning to use my better things, like my new quilts.
We've had over 5 1/2 inches of rain during this rainy spell; lots of mud around the farm.
Charlotte, I agree as my girls do not think like their mama :)
Lorene, thank you...
One doesn't have to go overboard on decorations to get the place looking festive. Little touches will do just fine.
I am salivating looking at those loaves :)
I use my Waterford crystal every day now. And my Limoges platter all the time.

The loaves look delicious! If you freeze them, how do you protect the glazed topping so it does not come off when unwrapping?
your decorations are lovely. I have decided that this is the last year for my big tree---too much work. After Christmas I will divide up the ornaments amongst my 3 sons and families. I also found it more difficult to do the outside lights this year. May rethink that as well!!
Decorations very tasteful! Thanksgiving family time sounds delightful. Treasure those times you have together.
lejmom, finally time to answer your question. I make the glaze a little stiffer then usual, cool very good and wrap top loosely. Usually no problem with sticking..
