Keep Moving

Dawn
fierce wind blowing
can hear wind chimes
ceiling fan and bamboo screens
moving on the screen porch.

Bitter cold....
Pleased I filled bird feeders yesterday
they are part of my family.

The mind tells me
keep moving
and I will obey
this early morning,
yoga and healthy breakfast
will start the day.

Now after lunch I may
curl up with a book
work at desk,
 may even tackle
a pile of ironing on the loft area
and since heat rises
it is nice and warm.

So life goes on
as I dream of Spring
and even though much going on
in my children and grandchildren
lives
I am conscious of the
many blessings I have....

I read somewhere
life is a journey
and you never stop learning
so true.

One thing I have learned
is you can always listen
and some do not have the
time to do this....

I hope you have a good day. Ironing and embroidering are on my list to do when I get back inside. The wind is blowing and the temperature keeps dropping this morning. Now I'm off to work with the little chickens; at least it's warm in there. I'll be thinking of you.

Sounds like a full day for you. My day began early too.
Schools are closed because of windy conditions and bad roads.
My little bird friends are here and eating their breakfast while I do the same.I feel guilty if I am eating and their tray is not full.
Enjoy your day.

The one advantage of this woeful weather, I find, is that it slows down the racing speed of my life.

A good thing.

Today we have winds gusting to 130k. Noisy.

The fire burns down quickly when the gusts come down the chimney :)

Ah, listening is, as you know, one of the most precious gifts we can give to others. So often, especially in younger years, we are so busy that we don't realize it.

Wishing you a joyful rest-of-the-day.

Spring can't be far away...In the mean time, a little slower pace is a good thing, I think. I hope I never stop listening and learning.

Your day sounds good, peaceful and contemplative.

It is breezy and chilly down here, with a big blue sky and some clouds. I'm at work and it's quiet here. I am looking forward to getting back to my sweet little haven.

Love and hugs to you dear Ernestine ~ FlowerLady

Life goes on and I dream of Spring, also. This may be the first year in many years when I will have a garden plot, small though it is, prepared and ready for planting. I'll picture you outdoors this spring walking amongst your beautiful flowers and picking herbs and veggies!
