Heavenly Scent

He handed me a small box
A gift from far away.
A small china container
when opened
it contained a small candle
with the most heavenly scent.
I asked
"what is it"
and his reply
"a famous Japanese flower
Sakura"

The Japanese Cherry trees
are blooming at this time.

How sweet and thoughtful.

The lidded jar to hold the candle is lovely and I would love to smell the scent.

Enjoy dear heart ~ FlowerLady

A lovely gift you will treasure! So pretty on the handkerchief as well. I love blue and white china and I'm sure you will treasure this long after the delicious scented candle has gone. Love Mrs A

Oh--I love blue and white porcelain/china/glass. What a wonderful treasure to sit on the table near your chair with the soft scent wafting up. Yeah--what Mel said.

Judy, it is beside my bed on the nightstand :) The scent I like and going to check if there is something else with this scent.

ernestine, the blue and white porcelain box looks like an antique seal paste box that once contained red sealing ink seen on asian art. what a treat that it would now contain your heavenly fragrance. ask your son if that is what it is and let me know. i love asian pieces. my favorite piece of furniture in our home is a hand painted mongolian buffet which is about 120 years old. i know you must be having such a wonderful beginning to spring and enjoying this special time with him so much. (wish he could convince you to visit him there!)
