Early Morning Shadows

It is the time of the year
when early morning shadows
fill the walls of this cottage.
I like seeing them
for some reason it gives me pleasure.
Almost like
I have been given a gift.

Beautiful pictures. the only problem I have with the sun's position this time of year is, around 9:00, it shines directly in my eyes when I'm at my computer and around 4:00 in the afternoon, directly in my eyes when sitting in my chair, but--I never put the blinds down to block it so I guess--my fault if I get crinkly eyes.

I love shadows that splash against the walls and floor. It is the only time of the year (except for spring) when the sun walks right on in!

I too feel that the sunlight at this time of year is beautiful and precious and usually most beautiful in the morning.

Ah but for shadows you need sun and that is very lacking in the wilds of Scotland just now. So I shall have to admire your photos from afar.

excellent captures of shadow and light, color and texture.

interesting that you consider this a gift. often when I pass a particular beautiful piece of nature, or animal, or witness a good deed....i feel gifts are give to me.

Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving One Woman.

I heard on the radio that so far this year has been the sunniest in a long time. I love bright, sunny, winter days when shadows of trees are on the snow. That image will be here soon.
Have a blessed day.

That you have been given a gift...says so much about the receiver!
