So dark here in the country
but the wondrous brightness
of the moon is shining
through the trees.
Made me smile at the
end of a busy day....
Very aware that
winter solstice is 2 weeks away.
What a welcome to have longer
days begin.
At the moment the days are so short
and nights so long....

I know -- it seems I barely get the kitchen cleaned up at noon before it's time for supper. I love seeing the moon in all it's changings.
I so love the longer days and remain in shock the entire time the days are short.
We have so much to do we need time, time, time.
I love the punctuation of solstices, seasons of our lives, a chance to renew and change up.
Blessing friend, take care of you.
Appreciating your reminder that longer days are on their way. Have a wonderful weekend.
I think short days would be more bearable if they were also not so cold! This year they seem shorter than ever, I get up long before that lazy sun and an up long after he heads for bed.
Charlotte, Sandy, Elsa Louise and Tabor, nice to find your comments this cold and very dark morning..
oh what a gorgeous moon...I have been watching it rise the past few nights, so bright and full!
Dear Laura, thank you...
I, too, enjoyed the bright full moon shining through the trees for several nights. Nature's night light ~
There is something magical and mysterious about this moon photo. Great catch!
What a beautiful picture! I find that, if I can look at the sky, even for a minute or two, I can lift myself from a dark corner. I, too, struggle with the long periods of darkness at this time of year. I am already dreaming of spring. I have been putting some plants in the ground, ones I've had in pots for three years waiting for their new home. It was such a spirit lifter to work with the soil yesterday. Most of what I planted will die back as we have colder and colder nights and days, but in the spring...well, in the spring, it will be wonderful!
Sharon, Marcia and Ellen, thank you.
It was so dark and I could really not capture the beauty of what I was seeing...
