Another December Evening

In a few hours
the arrival of a new day.
Not many left in this year.
Soon a new year will begin
Wonder what it will bring?

Hopefully
Happiness, Health, Safety and Peace
for all....

Each day is a gift and it is up to us as to how we take it and what we do with it.

I wish you a wonderful 2012, filled with love, joy, peace and health, and many blessings.

I am thinking about you tonight, you in the woods, you with tender heart, you with audacity and energy and determination. I am wishing you good health, happiness, peace in this new year.

You make me smile
with your visits.
Ellen, you bring tears to my eyes with your description of one who lives by the woods :)

There is just something about those words, 'December evening' - they make me feel pensive, hopeful, joyful all at once.
I love what you wrote, Ernestine.

Nan, thank you. The trees looked so strong and silent as I looked at them...

Two years ago I framed a card I got for Christmas with a quote by Rainer Maria Rilka ~ "And now let us welcome the new year, full of things that have never been." When I was younger I would fret about the new year and regret all the things I had not already accomplished. Now I know that the new year will hold things I have not imagined yet, and I look forward to that.
