Your turnip picture is so simple yet beautiful. Funny.. how such a simple thing can bring so much pleasure.

Balisha, I am surprised that I still have turnip greens. The frost did not hurt. Good because they give me a healthy "organic" green to enjoy :)

Beautiful sky pictures! I think turnips are a such a pretty thing; and I love to eat the greens and the turnips! I put a few boxes of the greens in the freezer and pulled some turnips for storage in the refrigerator.

Charlotte and Sky, thank you for visiting. When I was growing up I would not eat turnip greens. Now could eat them every day. I need to pick more and put in freezer
I know that cold weather may soon take them away..

My gardening friend in town shared turnips with me this summer that were the most tender and delicious I've ever had. I picked kale from her garden until mid-November. Fresh vegetables are a treat any time but especially as winter approaches.

Sharon, only in my later years have I like turnips.
But then I had no access to home grown. That is the differance
Would not buy them from a store.
They are so easy to grow. Just throw out a few seeds somewhere :)
You do this in August.
