Sunday's Memory

Miss Callie it has been a little over a year since you made your home here at our cottage in the woods. I will always remember the chain that had to be cut off of your neck.

The size of the oak leaves on my path - are new to me.

Green velvet on our walk.

Ashling, thank you for visiting me and your kind comment. Yes, my Callie was meant to be with this One Woman.

One ear up, the other down, and the back foot turned just so. She’s darling.

Have you read Siddhartha by Hesse? You probably have, but if not, you’d enjoy it. Add it to your winter reading list.

Elsa, yes, that little ear. I believe it was broken. Callie has made the best little pet. I want to rescue another dog so she will have company. In the past years - I found one at my door a number of times - so will see what "gift" is sent me.
Thank you for the book recommendation. It is new to me.
I have put it on my Amazon wish list.

Clearly you are not alone. You have the grandfather oaks to whisper about the seasons and shelter you from storms and the moss to rest upon and a soft warm doggie tongue to remind you you are loved.

I was just thinking that you should check out the canoe rental places or perhaps the bass boat places...in this recession someone might very much like taking you out on a guided tour of an area.

Balisha, Judy and Tabor - thanks for your comments. Tabor, think I will stay on dry land in this area but thank you for the idea:)

I have heard that sometimes our animal companions choose us ~ because they need us and we need them. I know that is true with my cat Leo.
