Impressive

One Woman is pleased the heat is on in this home. It was so chilly yesterday morning and I discovered the unit would not come on. I would not have turned it on for myself but with these little girls visiting I wanted the home warm. Also was given instructions on how to turn on my gas logs - I had forgotten. So guess I am all set for winter.

Just called the Animal Hospital and I will leave in an hour to take Callie for her surgery.

No reason to postpone it.

Yesterday morning the girls were practicing yoga poses from my instruction book.

I was really impressed as I watched them. But then at ages 4 and 7 you are quite limber.

I have stripped the bedding in guest area and it is being prepared for my daughter from Florida
and my granddaughter who is returning this weekend from London and a 4 month internship.

They will be visiting soon.

Needless to say I am excited about their visit to Woodhaven.

Enough shared this early morning I need to be on my way.

One Woman wonders - is this what your 70's are like?

Hi Ernestine, Love the picture of you with the grandchildren and dog in the post below. Glad you decided to get Callie and know you are looking forward to your visitors. You look as happy as I know you are!

I hope Miss Callie has a speedy recovery! She is a sweetheart. The girls are in love with her.

They were exhausted yesterday afternoon and fell asleep in the car as soon as we got on the interstate!

When are we going to be able to see photos of your new dog? Hope she recovers well after her operation.

Judy, Jamie and lilalia - thank you for your comments.

Post pictures of Callie several entries back. Look at her picture with one ear flopping down and one standing up.

It's cool here too.. so far resisting the heat on. Sounds like you are having fun with your kids and grandkids and settled into the country home. Is everything almost moved from your city home?

Start a notebook with directions and manuals clipped in. You will forget all the new things (at least I do from season to season) and it is nice to have a familiar place to turn.

Mim, a few items in some of the rooms and I have taken nothing off the walls as you would see nail holes. Miss the mirrors in my bathroom. But all is well.

Tabor, I have this from homes built over the last 12 years.
Just did not feel comfortable working with the gas line. I follow instructions from a person better then a manual.

My seventies were different than yours. I went to Europe for three weeks by myself, sold my house, held a yard sale, did all the packing alone, bought a town house and moved in and started improving it. Now I am spending my eighties enjoying my hard work as I am sure you will be doing.

Darlene, thank you for the sharing.
Our paths have been different - but we have been busy. You are an inspiration to me. Hope I make it to where you are. Have a great day.
