and sending to my children.
First one, family trip to the island I miss so much.
Second image - this one in a city garden 10 years ago
and
Three of my older grandchildren at the old farm house.
One now a chef in Nashville, Tennessee
Another one continuing his career in Washington, DC
and one a school teacher in New York.
Time flying by
but in many ways when I go through these
old pictures
it seems like yesterday...

In that first picture several member of the family look hesitant or pensive. Wonder what had happened just before, or was going to happen later?
A very good idea sending pictures now instead of leaving them to be lost or forgotten when you’re no longer around.
Your children will surely be grateful now.
Tabor, you know my journey well.
Last family trip and as it was in the past is ending...
Friko, I agree
WOW--you were gorgeous and he was handsome. That should have made it a perfect marriage. Funny how that doesn't work sometimes, isn't it? I think the kids came through it pretty well unscathed--you did a great job with them.
sorry, had to edit my post due to typo:
most of the family in the first photo do not seem very happy. interesting how feelings seep through, even to strangers who do not know us. nice that you are giving the photos to family members who will cherish them. my aunt has slowly, during the last decade, been doing similar things with intimate letters, cards, photos, etc. she has a notepad my grandmother once used to jot notes in re: old memories, dates of special events, illnesses, births/deaths, etc. my grandmother was born in 1900 so these notes are quite old and filled with tidbits of family history.
Judy, :)
Sky, yes we get to know each other well through our writing
and to think we have never met.
Yes, I picked up on the sadness and tension too in that first photo as if thing were going to explode/change very shortly and the look on your husband's face is so revealing also.
Lovely bouquet from your son, this meant the world to you!
