April Soon

How can it be that in another week
April arrives.

Enjoy Eugene Grasset's images of each month
If there was wall space available
every month would be displayed on the walls of this cottage.

Early morning dental appointment and seems they take up half the day. Purchased new blue sheets for my son's childhood brass bed.   When you buy good linens they last forever.   The sheets on his bed must be 40 years old, feel like silk but since elastic is not the way it should be
I do not like the sheets not looking the way I want them too.   The old sheets in perfect condition can be used in another way.    Returning home several stops, picked up some potting soil and bags of mulch and Subway sandwich.
A healthy quick choice of turkey, provolone, spinach, black olives, red onion, cucumber and tomato with a splash of oil and vinegar.  Sitting on deck at 1:30 with my sandwich, tea and slice of chocolate cake - almost fell asleep in the 72 degree temperature.

Yard work, grocery shopping and some baking is going to keep me busy and son arrives next week :)
a few days before his birthday...

Over the year these words continually go through my mind - day and night.

with my yard of daffodils, hyacinths, weeping cherry and plum tree all in bloom it feels like spring has really arrived.

I recently completed a mindfulness meditation course and the one that has impressed me the most is the loving-kindness meditation. Practicing self-compassion and self-kindness is so fundamental, yet so difficult sometimes.

Nancy, nothing in bloom back here by the dark woods at the edge of Kentucky - but a few daffodils
but soon...
Pienosole,
I love these words
and they help me continually.
Like a mantra
I am always repeating
while walking, working, sleeping
and driving my vehicle.
Practicing self-compassion is so difficult for me but I continue onward.

Your blog is my meditation. When I get here to your house in the woods I sigh, because I know there will be quiet thoughts, insightful thoughts and peace of mind. Do not work too hard before he arrives. It will all fall into place!

I agree with Tabor--I feel the peace from your photos and writing. I love the quote--just what we all pray for. I am excited about your son's visit. He will probably wonder why you bought new sheets, LOL.

Charlotte, Sallysmom, Tabor, Judy,
WWW, thank you each for your kind words - you keep me going.
The young man helping me for a few hours each week will probably soon return to his regular job
so trying to do all I can now
What I am doing is what I always do in the Spring.
Soon grass cutting time
Oh My

I am with you on these words.

Hope we will be able to follow them. We’d be very fortunate.
