Morning Thoughts

Bitter cold
like 10 degrees on the deck
but clear and sun beginning to shine.

Do you ever have special words keep playing in my mind?
Through the night these
words kept going through my mind
"teach your children well."

Many special scriptures on these words.

Yes, teach them well and even if they stray
for a season
they will return.

Not the exact words
but words I believe
and tried to practice and I smile
as my children do well and now grandchildren
even if occasionally someone forgets
I know this has been taught to them
and hopefully they are passing on
for when you see this practiced
it is a joy to your heart.

In my growing up years I never received many gifts
and my children received so many in their growing up years.
I always stressed to say thank you or send a note.

Yesterday was a busy day with many errands
One to correct my clipping on hair for 8 weeks.
Was so pleased with the outcome and on a trip to the grocery
had someone stop me and compliment my hair.
This made me smile as I soon received another.

A trip to the hospital for the dreaded MRI - brain scan.
An excellent new doctor and this is to make sure nothing else is
going on but inflammatory problem causing balance issues.
Needless to say I will be pleased when I hear the results.

A new day
sun is shining,
so much to be thankful for
on this journey of life
and may I never forget
to be thankful for much....

sending love… when I am in the MRI machine, I practice metta… send it to all the technicians, nurses, doctors, people who checked me in at the desk, my family members, myself, my friends… it brings ease to me while lying in the tube and is an offering of love to others.

Hi! Glad to see you this morning. Hope you have a nice day and stay warm. Good luck with the MRI.

Teach Your Children Well Wondering if you heard this and got it on your mind!

We just climbed out of the deep freeze after days of low teens (11) at night with highs in the mid 20s! Brrrrrr Had to use so much heat inside that my eyes and nose are extraordinarily dry now. Having to use a special gel for my nose which has been bleeding for days due to dryness. Eyes are a problem anyway, so that has just gone up a few notches! Inflammation galore, something you know all about! Hope the holiday season is a good one for you.

Saying a prayer for you sweet lady.

Wishing I could ship you some of the hot weather here in Florida.

Take care of you.

We still have snow from a week ago tomorrow! Some is melting today at 41*; wish it would all melt before more comes as it's such a threat to the chicken houses.

Yes, I guess we tried to make up for the little we got on Christmas by over doing it with the kids. Looking back at pictures, the tree was packed with toys.

Hope you stay well during this cold snap!

Cold here also--much like the bitter cold we usually get in January. I had an MRI once--the closeness doesn't bother me--it is the racket the machine makes that drives me nutsy cuckoo!!

We do see things so much more clearly as we age. We actually begin to see the big picture and I hope you realize how wonderful your life has been with so many special souls in your web. I had a dexi-scan and mammogram today...hated it, but have to do it!!

It was 10 degrees here today. Of course we always pick the coldest day to buy our tree. This year my husband picked out the tree while I shopped for groceries - a fair trade I think. May you feel warm with all the thoughts your readers send for good news from the MRI ~
