So Many Words

When I had the desire to write
 the thought surfaced,
what will I write about?

Glancing at old entries
totaling over a 1000
it seems
I have not been at a loss for words.

So many who began my journey with me
are still commenting.
I marvel that these super intelligent, talented
and worldly
women take the time to read my simple sharing
and then forward on a comment.

How special my online friends are to me
Seems you are the ones I begin each day
with and in reality most of my sharing is with you.
Many times
what you take the time to type and forward on to me
is just what I need to
encourage me onward that day.

Wish we could all gather together.
We could dine simply and enjoy nature
or just tea and homemade sweets.

Maybe it is good that we cannot
as I would smile, hug you and know
my eyes would fill with tears.
I believe a meeting would make me
very emotional.

I have always been of the mindset
that those that write,
share from the heart,
you may know them better then
acquaintances you see in person and have known for years.
In reality
you can know someone for years
and really not know them.

The day's are so short at this time
but just think
in a couple of weeks
little by little the days are longer.

It seems that when January arrives
I begin to dream of Spring.

A new day is beginning
with sun and some warmth predicted
here by the woods.

May it be a special day for each of us...

Oh, my dear Ernestine,
This post was so special...so you. I truly feel our closeness in reading your beautiful words. When you don't post...something is missing in my day.If we all could meet...there would be laughter, conversation, maybe tears and just quiet to really enjoy the moments.
We only have our writing to keep us together in friendship.
My wishes for you this Christmas are good health, family happiness, simple activities that you enjoy, and peace.
Merry Christmas...early,
Balisha

Your writing has contributed to your reader's lives as well. I can feel my heart and mind begin to slow down and pace itself when I read your blog. I enter the quiet woods with the woman who followed her dream. It is interesting how we write about deep personal feelings for strangers.

You are the first I read in the morning and I agree--I write more from my heart on my blog, then I express vocally to present friends. Why is that? Maybe because it is easier to write to a "faceless" group? I have a Dear Friend that I've known for 65 years. She reads my blog and sends an e-mail stating, "I never knew you felt that way about (such and such)." So, after years of being together, she is learning a lot she never knew about me. I think in my writing, I just get right down into it--pour it all out and in speaking I am more circumspect?

Whether a reader or a writer it does fill a need. Peace.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with friends, both near and far. Your words carry, over the miles, so much inspiration.

I truly value my online friendship with you, Ernestine. And, just as Judy said, you're one of the first I read each day.

I'm much too shy to meet my blog friends in person; I can write and they don't know that about me.

Your writing enriches my life. I do so appreciate your willingness to share your life at Woodhaven with a wider audience.

Ernestine, I feel the same way. Your words and wisdom show me how rich life can be if I can be content with the present moment. Like you, I am looking forward to the lengthening days in January.

Think of us sitting with you, drinking a warm cup of tea, enjoying a companionable silence, as we sit and share the beauty of your yard.

so beautiful ernestine.... I wouldn't mind a good cry with friends. I find the same is true, except for two dear friends who live at a distance and I talk with on the phone, and my husband, mostly the people I have deep heart to hearts with are online friends via email and blog comments. Sometimes it seems a lonely, life, then I change my mind completely because the people I meet around the world via blogging sustain me in very real ways. I wish I had more energy to visit more often.

gentle steps beautiful soul,
laura

Mel, :)
Laura, so good to hear from you.
I just do not seem to have time
to visit your special meetings at this time. I will return.
Just seems I am busier then ever
Not doing anything special
just life at this time. Seems to keep my mind off of health issues. Stay Well.
