Call Back

Life is a steep climb, and it does the heart good to have somebody "call back" and cheerily beckon us on up the high hill. We are all climbers together, and we must help one another. This mountain climbing is serious business, but glorious. It takes strength and steady step to find the summits. The outlook widens with the altitude. If anyone among us has found anything worth while, we ought to "call back."

If you have gone a little way ahead of me, call back....
"Twill cheer my heart and help my feet along the stony track;
And if, perchance, Faith's light is dim, because the oil is low,
Your call will guide my lagging course as wearily I go.

Oh Ernestine,
I hadn't thought about 'Streams in the Desert' in ages. Thanks for the reminder. One of my basic principles is that we are here to love and to encourage one another along our separate paths. I guess you have given me my next Grace Note to add to my notebook. By doing that you have called back to me. Blessing to you.

Wish you lived closer, Ernestine. It would be nice to share a cup of hot tea on cold mornings and rub Callie's sweet head. Glad to see her warm inside and keeping you good company. Nothing quite like the love and devotion of our animals to warm the heart on those very chilly mornings.

Yes, indeed, we are all climbing and sharing those amazing vistas is such a delight. :)

Ernestine....you make many call backs and I have to tell you that your reminder to breathe the other day has turned my life around. I was unaware that I was holding my breath so often and missing the deep gulps of fresh air needed to clear my senses.
Thank you! So sweet to see Miss Callie enjoying the warmth.
Merry Christmas!

Cloudhands, my eyes landed on this book last night. I read and read all the underlined and tear stained passages. It was a reminder of how God has blessed me over the years. I also had almost forgot about this little book that sits on my shelf.
Sky, thank you for the invitation.
Oh that would be nice. Tabor and
Marcia, thank you once again for the kind comments.
