I just finished baking this morning and they are still cooling.
The cake is similar to Nan's - but I bake it in a stem pan and put a glaze on it. Like the way it looks on the cake stand. A touch of elegance here in the woods :)
The Zuchinni Bread, I make in 3 small pans instead of 2 larger loaf pans.
Have a good night and day tomorrow.

Hi Ernestine, I hope that you are doing much better from your accident and will be fully recovered soon. Your daughter, Beth, looks so much like you. The cake and bread looks so good I can even smell it from here. I hope you have a good week.
Judy, thank you :-)
This looks wonderful, and what I can see of your dining room (or kitchen) in this photo looks so inviting, is there a spare rocking chair on your veranda? I hope you are healign after the fall - I have been thinking of you.
It's a relief to read this post and know that you are back in the kitchen after your fall. The baked goods look wonderful!
I have had the same thoughts about being alone at my house. My husband is often out of town, and cell service is sketchy on our road. I just need to be careful.
Cate, thank you. My new little corner of the world is inviting.
Always an extra chair.
Sharon, thank you for your visit.
Be careful and have a good rest of the day.
You and I would have such a good time baking together if we lived near one another.
Oh.. these look so tasty. The bring back memories of home..and my my mom and dad's touches of home... thank you for that.. And, thanks for the comment on my blog (I'm thinking of resuming it http://gratitude360.blogspot.com/)...
Nan, yes I would love that. Everyone I bond with online lives so far away.
Cheryl, thank you for visiting and come back soon. This is my weekly baking plus a gallon of fruit tea.
