I Gotcha - Finally

My first summer at Woodhave and I have tried to capture a picture of a butterfly. They are never still long enough or I am not fast enough.

Finally yesterday afternoon (between all the chores) I captured this shot.

If I do say so myself - One Woman I am proud of you!!

The happy heart runs with the river, floats on the air, lifts to the music,
soars with the eagle, hopes with the prayer.
Maya Anglou

On this day I wish you a constantly Happy Heart

Very beautiful picture, Ern! You've focus on the butterfly and the background is blur. Very professional!!

Balisha, you never know until you download your picutes. There it was and also a wonderful evening sunset which I will share later.
Have a good day. Jamie and girls are arriving soon to spend the day with me :)

Jessi, I did not even notice that.
Like you said - I just focused on the butterfly. Have a good night.
My son called a few moments ago.
Needless to say that puts a smile on his mom's face :)

She flutters

flits
from
flower to flower,
imbibing
the aroma,
the nectar,
and smell of the woods.

She often wondered
why
she was
a mixture
of
black and white
and not colored.

And one day,
she heard
the wet Earth
say ,
"Its all about
being part of a happy
wonderful picture,
showing off
each others best .

It doesnt matter
what color
you
yourself carry
in life ....."

Stunning photo and well to pat yourself on the back about. I've always thought butterflies, hummingbirds, and dragonflies are such etherially beautiful creatures, their beauty can not be captured on paper. Yet, yuodid manage.

lilalia, I have been trying all summer. The butterflies and hummingbirds just never stopped moving their wings and a good photo of them was impossible.
Thank you...

I seem to have more butterflies this summer. I have gotten a picture or two, but, they are not too clear. You did a great job...The heat is back with us, so keep cool!

WOW what a great picture. You are becoming quite the pro with that camera! You are just like that old Virginia Slims commercial that says, "You've come a long way, baby"! I remember when you first got your computer and now you are a master at both. I am proud of you!

p.s. I am going to do some fine things in the kitchen with all that beautiful basil!

I have tried SO many times this summer to get a good photo of butterflies, and so few of them turn out. On Sat., I took one of a butterfly in the final stages of life. It broke my heart.

Just yesterday on my morning walk, I took my camera just in case and what joy to see a butterfly who was so kind and posed for me.
I plan to post this week.
Beautiful.
