Glad Everything Begins Again

My computer crashed on the 4th,  Finally reached Verizon and not good for me to go through
all of their instructions that I must follow.   Result another bad jet pack that connects me to the
internet.  So new one received yesterday and spent another hour activating.  I was told it would
activate immediatly and it did not without lengthy instructions.  I never get accustomed to these problems and some of the family do not understand this experience for their aging mother who
is on the computer for so much and when it goes down it really upsets me.    I read, write, find information, stay in touch with family, buy a lot from Amazon,
instead of television I look at the news on the computer.   They texted, instagram and FB, mom does not.     Enough shared.
My excellent new doctor commented, some do not understand that the computer is a big part of your world....

I am happy and pleased to be online again and read 50 old emails.
Daughter returned from  N.Y. visiting my happy expecting granddaughter, my soninlaw
returned safely from China,  Receiving my almost daily emails from son in Thailand.

My Beth spent 4th with me and I made salmon croquettes, black eyed peas, mashed potato's,
peach pie and should have made corn bread.

My Jamie, covered with Poison Ivy, her mama knows well, when returning to the country
had it every year and needed shot and pills. She looks like I now look with the easily bruised thin skin that is continually bumped and cut.  It is the way it is and appreciate now the many years of beautiful skin :)

One of my granddaughter's will soon arrive to spend the day and night, so pleased am I.
We will go to lunch and look in a small local shop.  I want her to tell me about her mission trip to Mexico.
My youngest granddaughter is wearing a boot, injured 2 toes, oh my something continually
happening..

So now breakfast of waffle and fruit, day begins and may dead head some lillies.

Welcome back online! Computer issues can be very frustrating, especially when it is such an important part of staying in touch, informed, and entertained. Wishing you a wonderful weekend! :-)

My friend who lives in the country and is not technologically educated found a tech guy nearby who sets up annual contracts for quarterly home visits to check on computers, modems, and routers, etc., to clean up disk space, confirm all updates have loaded and are in play, assure the anti-viral program is updated and runs a current scan, deletes files that are no longer necessary, and answers qts. He is also available for visits or Q&A by phone to resolve problems that may occur in the interim. All of this for $125 a year, I think she said. That may seem like an unnecessary expense to some, but he virtually maintains/runs her computer and is a mentor and repairman. For someone who knows very little about technology, she feels like she has won the lottery! She has found him dependable and capable so it is working great for her. Wish you had someone like that to depend on when problems occur. I know how frustrating it can be and am so thankful for my husband's expertise when I need it. Glad to see you back in the saddle again. :)

sky, your friend is so lucky, no one like that in my area or would use them.
my girls update on visits and this new jet pack I handled but long conversations and instructions on phone - bother me

Computer problems myself, right now. This one has been repaired and cleaned, repeatedly and looks like it might be time to get a new one.
Our youngers don't understand why we NEED our computers--our lifeline to the outside world!!

Computer is lifeline to the outside world, keeping me informed, connected and entertained.
I feel the pressure of getting it all done when I get behind on my computer "routine" A couple of days and I have another hour or two or three to catch up. At some point in my life a sort of schedule has evolved...so much time for must do chores, food related, computer, outdoors (especially important in the warmer months) and the all important REST between all those things. Sometimes just a few min. to sit and "catch my breath" as my Grandmother used to say, others I need to put my feet up and be quiet for a spell. Rest seems to be what I forgo when behind and then I pay. You would think I would learn but old habits die hard.
Glad you are back.
