Checking In

Up checking emails
cup of warm water
and back stretch.

Email received
special one has landed in California :)

Just rinsed 2 quarts of beautiful ripe strawberries
in vinegar and water.   Now they will keep for a few days.
Now I can go back to sleep
for a few hours
with a smile in my heart...

Do all mother's still think of their grown children
as young children
when they arrive home over the years.

I do...

Pienosole, thank you
I always look for your special words and probably not much computer time for days...

You know, no one cares about the food and the cutlery and the dishes. No one.

It is all about the love and the sharing and the company.

So very happy for you :)

I never thought about rinsing with vinegar. I love the warm strawberries from the sun and can hardly wait for ours to arrive. I am so glad for your upcoming visit...what joy!

Vinegar? I've never heard of this. Does the taste come through at all in the strawberries??? I would love some fresh ones right now! But it will be a couple months yet for us.

My mom always set the table with china when we came. The last few years I insisted we use paper plates. I told her our time together was too important and dish washing was taking up time. I am so glad I convinced her of that.
