Angel To The Rescue

A rainy morning
time for car to be serviced

Coolant light has been
coming on. Also some leakage
on garage floor.

On the way to the city
the gauge went to hot

One Woman' heart
began to race
as she pulled off
the winding country road

A young woman stopped
dressed to perfection -
high heels and so stylish

She lifted hood of car
pulled on a jacket and hood
over her head

I encouraged her not to do this
she was dressed too nice
but to no avail

All of this in the pouring rain

Water in vehicle
and she followed me to
car dealership

She said it was her good
deed for the day.

Tears filled my eyes
To me she is an angel...

Her name was Jessica
same as my oldest granddaughter

Have you met any
angels lately?

Awe....that makes me feel good that an angel came to your rescue.....I know I had them when I worked with the babies, years ago before we had heart/resp monitors, something would make me go check on a particular baby....sure enough, he needed me....

Ah, what a lovely kindness....hope the car is all fixed and running well now.
The angel of patience tapped me on the shoulder this week and gave me her gift....goodness prevails.

For you to be at the mercy of a car warning light and bad weather and then to receive the gift of mercy -- by one who made your problem her own -- humbles me as if it had been me stuck behind the wheel of your inoperable car.

Your response reminds me of my own so many times when offers of help come -- that if accepted, would surely make life easier or the world a friendlier place. Why is it that I almost always try to give my 'white knight' a rain check, a way out -- denying them the joy that comes from helping another in need?

Surely my upcoming move will give me many chances to accept helping hands -- and your words today remind me that I must remember to "just say yes". And then quickly express my humble thanks.

I have not knowingly met any angels today, but many in the past.

My eyes filled with tears as I read of Jessica Angels good deed.

Your post was a blessing to me, and I am glad you are safe.

Blessings.

What an eclectic woman and what a wonderful thing for her to do!

Yes--I've met 3 just this month. One helped me load the groceries in my car from the Wal-Mart handicapped electric cart I was riding in--it was snowy. Two others appeared at my house on a Saturday to help me with a dying dog.

Yes, I have. My car died (battery died). A man came to the rescue. Revived it, no charge. :)

Thanks to everyone for your comments. Still do not know anything about car. They think it might be transmission fluid. Good thing is they brought me home and hopefully I will know something this morning. Very lucky to have old truck and no where I need to go. Just wish times like this did not upset me.
Windy and cool in my area....
