Friday On A Rural Road

A special neighbor came by early this morning
to pick up New York Times
she brought me 1 dozen of her fresh eggs.
Will use for baking.
They are almost too pretty to use :)
and they will be delivered weekly.
These will be a treat for my son when he visits soon.

Could not resist this Hyacinth plant at the grocery last week
finally blooming.
The scent is heavenly.
Spring
you are not far away :)

Breakfast - coconut yogurt, blueberries, 1/2 banana, apricots, plums, dates and sunflower seeds.
with
white tea and a shot of pineapple juice (a Dr. Oz recommendation)

Simmering for lunch - Chili
End of the day as I look out the front window
They are eating the wheat :(

and I might add that just getting up I am greeted with snow on the ground
the first.

Dear Ernestine ~ Those eggs look pretty and what a treat to get a dozen fresh every week. Bless your neighbor's heart for sharing with you.

Your breakfast sounds yummy and has me thinking about my own breakfast.

We aren't getting snow, but a cold front is being ushered down by rains expected off and on today. Tonight's low is predicted at 50 and will feel like it's in the 40's. Brrr! Right now it is very windy and gray out.

Have a cozy, warm weekend there in your sweet home.

Love and hugs ~ FlowerLady

The pictures are so pretty as usual. Take care during the snow.

I'm warmed and inspired by your beautiful photos, especially the one of the hyacinth. I can almost smell it ("distance aroma therapy"). :-)

Ah we both had eggy posts, yeah?

My sister had hyacinths in Ireland on all her surfaces and I was surprised at myself I got so tired of the smell.

Must be my mood, rather humbuggy.

Gorgeous eggs! Can I come for tea? I bought a hyacinth today too! We're hungry for spring, so we eat cake and buy flowering bulbs! Have a wonderful day!

What wonderful photos. Does Callie chase the geese? or do they chase her?

Nothing better than fresh eggs. I have to drive some ways up a road if I want those eggs, so usually get mine from the store. Wonderful that your son is coming. I am sure you are very excited. Will he stay with you or does he still have a place in the city?

Tabor, he has to stay with me, all of his clothes are in this cottage, he has the upstairs loft with all he needs, quick trips to the big city where he attended school, but always returning :)
My eggs usually from store - but not anymore..
Lorraine, Sallysmom, Pienosole :)
Sandra, we are similar and so far away :)
WWW, I will smile for you and as of yet have never tired of this wonderful scent...
and Judy, Callie inside most this winter, she did not see them as it was evening...

This is a post to make everybody smile. I've never seen a carton of eggs with all different colors. That's so pretty.

AC and Kay, thanks for visiting.

I don't think we're even close to spring here, so I may follow your lead and look for something springlike to brighten the inside. Love your photos.

Great breakfast!!
We have several geese which hang around the pond and lots of little ducks. The geese get used to the sound of the feeding truck, but the ducks fly. I've wondered what they eat since there are no grain crops here.
Stay warm and cozy this weekend.
