Missing You

Three women who encouraged and loved me
I miss them all.
First my beloved grandmother
My son was a toddler when she passed away.
Oh the memories of the many times
I spent with her in my young years.

My mother passed away 14 years ago today
It was another very cold February.

She was 82 and it was just a few days from her next birthday

My mother and father on their wedding day
She is 17 and he is 22.
So very young.

Then my special Aunt Lucille
now gone 5 years.  We would talk on the telephone
several times a week.
She was in her 90's
the oldest to live in my family.

Oh how I miss their
love, comforting words
and wisdom....

I love your pictures. So many people only take pictures on their phones. They won't have these treasured memories to look at in years to come.

What good relationships have been in your life. You must be a loving person to have known them as well as you did!

Feb is a month of losses for our family - our father, mother, 2 cousins, and grandmother. Oh, how I miss my mother!

Tabor, my young years were very difficult and this grandmother would come and get me from my young parents. In later years there was a closeness with my mother and I took care of her in many ways
in her last years. I could not have made it without my grandmother...
Lorraine, Sallysmom and Sky,
thank you for checking in.

Oh I so miss my grandma and mother! My grandma was widowed at 48--I was her only grandchild and she lived close, so I spent many hours with her--she called me Precious until the day she died. My mother--gone at age 54--not fair!!! Grateful I had them in my life, but...miss them so.

You were certainly blessed to have these women in your life. My grandmothers weren't very affectionate, but I had a wonderful mother.
