The Sound of Silence

Silence is something that comes from your heart,
not from the outside.

Silence does not mean not talking
and not doing things;
it means that you are not disturbed inside.

If your truly silent
then no matter what situation
you find yourself in

You can just enjoy silence...

~~Thich Nhat Hanh~~ The Heart of the Matter

After a weekend of activity and family visiting
these special words
are so true..

Silence is appreciated on the
cool, windy but sunny afternoon.

My garden is beyond expectation.
Every little flower brought to this
home
is massive.....

Silence is beautiful, we love it here too, although it is never truly silent, the birds singing all day fill in any gaps of silence! As I write this I am sitting by the heater and the fan is working away, just quietly. I can hear the quiet breathing of the dogs as they lie beside me, keeping me company. We have family who visit and much as we love them being. Here when they leave there seems to be an extra depth in the quiet! Love Mrs A

Yes,if silence comes from the inside, then you never feel alone. Being alone means you are running from the silence.

I love silence! I need to see pictures of your gardens!!! I think because we had a "normal" winter and spring, everything is more beautiful this year. I had spring bulbs bloom that I haven't seen in 3 years--I knew they were under there, but they all showed up this spring.

I also love silence, and am grateful for our little haven on a 4 lane busy road. Even with the traffic noise, it is quieter on our property. Sometimes you can tune out the sounds too, other times there really are moments of silence and I relish those. They are blessings.

I am thankful for the silence in which God speaks to my heart which is missing my dear husband.

Love and hugs to you and I'm glad to hear your plants are blessing you with their beauty.

Silence is my haven. It often eludes me, then I realize it is only me preventing my being in that special place.
You always seem to have just the right topic to center me, Ernestine!
Happy day to you!
