Early this morning
up the stairs to the loft
where my television sits.
I turned it on to check the weather
and there was a song playing.
This song I have never heard before
but the words brought tears to my eyes
and memories flooded my mind.
She is one with many ups and downs throughout her life.
Many accomplishments and challenges that were viewed
with appreciation and "I did it."
Quickly remembered is my constant helper...
These words go over and over in my mind
"I Can't Even Walk Without Holding Your Hand."
So the day is starting after many hours of rain.
As I view my simple gardens and the woods,
it looks like a rain foresst.
Everything is thriving and growing in abundance.
What I see surrounding my cottage has changed
rapidly over the last month
Ajuga ground cover that started as a few clumps from previous home
is spreading rapidly. I love the purple color...

That middle picture? Gorgeous! Your gardens are beautiful.....
You are in a 'green mansion' and your yard is really coming into its own beautiful self. Really nice.
Beautiful post in words and photos. I wouldn't be where I am today without His holding my hand.
Your gardens must be bringing you great joy. They are looking wonderful and it is amazing what each day brings.
Love and hugs to you ~ FlowerLady
Paradise!! Such soothing surroundings.
I often think of the song, Be With Me Lord, I cannot live without You. So much haste and worry makes me needful of His promises.
Are those grape hyacinths in your middle picture? I have lots of those--love the deep purple color. Gorgeous where you live. Every time I stumble--all I have to do is reach up and there He is, holding out His hand to help me up.
Judy, that is Ajuga ground cover.
Brought a few clumps from my last home and it has really spread in 3 years.
Molly, Tabor, Lorraine and Charlotte, Thank you for visiting and your special comments....
Ernestine, your garden is so beautiful so early in the season. What a pleasure for you right outside your door ~
Oh I'd love to sit with you in that garden and chat all day long. With lettuce for dinner.

Oh, how interesting it was to read your post...the song was my cousin's favorite. I had never heard of it until he told everyone about it a year or 2 ago. He found strength in the words after having a stroke and being partially paralyzed for 10 years. He was never able to walk again, so frustrated and unhappy with the restricted life he was left to live. He died 2 months ago and was eager to go. I have never heard anyone else mention the song until now.
What lovely gardens....and the rain just makes everything so happy! A great joy for you to behold, I am sure. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Oh, your garden is so far ahead of mine, and how lovely it is!
Your garden is a dream......
