My Kind of Weather

Can you believe
it is going to be 58 in the morning.
I am typing this late Tuesday
and it is now Thursday and another 58 degree morning.

enjoyed the day so much.
Old wheelbarrow filled 3 times
and need to empty into compost pile
A comment made to me in the past
"how do you know what to cut back?"
I have never given that a thought
just prune everything that is overgrown
and it always returns in abundance.

The vine on the post holding the humming bird feeder
is a Cypress Vine.   Some I have heard call it a humming bird vine.

Mine is just now full of buds and volunteers by the hundreds are everywhere
continual pulling them up.

Soon it will look like this
Another volunteer
that returns continually
and the leaves are tipped in red.
A special elderly lady years ago
"Miss Robbye" shared with me
and called it a Summer Poinsettia
These 2 small late blooming plants come up in abundance
this time of year.   Nice as much that brought so much color to my garden
has finished blooming.

Early this Thursday morning
 hear the washing machine going,
filled with sheets and plan on being careful and hanging on line outdoors :)

With a few cooler evenings it is nice to use my oven to bake potatoes.

This is my kind of weather....

Quite an abundance: you don't seem to have any problem growing things.

I love the cool weather as well. It is so nice here today. Strange though for the middle of July.

The weather is wonderful! I needed a long sleeve at work, and hung sheets out to dry also. We could use some rain.
Mama had a vine like this, growing at her front porch, and climbing up onto the banister.
Don't try to do too much while it's cooler.

I have some seeds for your Cypress Vine. I thought it was that, when I saw it on your blog. Oh, dear, another vine. I am always drawn to vines. I wonder why?
We are experiencing the respite in weather that you are enjoying. We are having the most wonderful summer. Just the right amt. of rain. I guess I should consider myself blessed...with all the flooding and drought in other areas.
Have a wonderful day today....be safe.

I have not liked having to hide inside during the hot and humid days and am enjoying this brief respite. Do hummingbirds come to the cardinal vine?

My kind of weather too! So nice not to be closed up with the A/C and not sweat when I go out to work in the garden. I love your Cypress Vine--I have never seen it, nor the Summer Poinsettia. Enjoy your day, Dear Friend.

The cooler weather has been wonderful, but dread for the hot temps to return. The little hummers will love you for allowing the cypress vines to grow.

And mine too.
I can’t cope outdoors when it’s very hot, I just look for shade all the time.

Gardens are enjoying the weather too, first lots of rain and now lots of sunshine.

Bliss. Except for excessive heat.
